This notice explains the cookies, device identifiers, analytics and advertising technologies used by the Wishmo app and the wishmo.app website, and the choices you have. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. On the website (wishmo.app)
Our marketing website is intentionally light. It does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. We may use a minimal, privacy-respecting measurement of page visits and your browser may store essential preferences. We load the Inter web font from Google Fonts to render the page.
2. In the app
Mobile apps don’t use browser cookies, but they use similar technologies:
2.1 Analytics & diagnostics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase and Firebase Crashlytics to understand how features are used and to fix crashes. This involves a pseudonymous app-instance identifier and device/usage data. It helps us improve Wishmo and is not used to show you ads.
2.2 Advertising (AdMob)
The free version of Wishmo may show ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, AdMob may access a device advertising identifier and limited device data. Depending on your consent, ads may be personalised (based on interests) or non-personalised (contextual only).
2.3 Push notifications
With your permission, Firebase Cloud Messaging uses a device token to deliver notifications you’ve enabled. You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time.
3. Your choices
- iOS — App Tracking Transparency. On iPhone/iPad, we ask for permission before any tracking used for personalised ads. If you decline, you’ll still see the app and may see non-personalised ads. You can change this under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID and limit ad personalisation under Settings → Privacy → Ads.
- Consent prompt (EEA/UK). Where required, we show a consent message (via Google’s User Messaging Platform) so you can accept or reject personalised ads and analytics. You can change your choice later in the app’s settings.
- Go ad-free. Subscribing to Wishmo Premium removes ads.
4. Providers
Learn more from our providers: Google (Analytics & AdMob), Apple.
5. Changes
We’ll update this notice if our use of these technologies changes, and revise the date above.
